Paphos International Sailing Club (known as PISC), was formed in 1999 by a group of sailing enthusiasts living in Paphos, Cyprus.
The purpose of the club is to promote all aspects of sailing and other boating within Cyprus and provide a framework where like
minded people can meet, share their knowledge, talk about their common interests and have some fun.
It is not a requirement to own a boat to be a member of the sailing
club, although most members tend to be British ex-pats living in Cyprus and
have a keen interest in sailing.
We boast a membership of about 160 and about half of these own a
boat in or around Cyprus.
We are fortunate to have our own clubhouse located in the Geroskipou
boat yard, (only ten minutes drive from the beach at Paphos) and our members
now own over 25 sailing dinghy's which are out on the water in
and around Agios Georgios most Thursdays and Saturdays.
Besides our organised social events, we meet every Friday lunchtime and ocassional
Tuesday evenings for good food, cheap beer and maybe meet some new friends.
If you want to find out more, come down to the Paphos clubhouse
any Friday lunchtime and introduce yourself to any of the committee
members.
