Paphos International Sailing Club (known as PISC), was formed in 1999 by a group of sailing enthusiasts living in Paphos, Cyprus. The purpose of the club is to promote all aspects of boating within Cyprus and provide a framework where like minded people can meet, share their knowledge, talk about their common interests and have some fun.
It is not a requirement to own a boat to be a member of the Paphos International Sailing Club, although most members tend to be retired British ex-pats living in Cyprus and have a keen interest in dinghy sailing (mainly Kestrels and Wayfarers). We boast a membership of about 130 and about half of these own a sailing boat.
We are fortunate to own our own clubhouse located in the Geroskipou boat yard, (only ten minutes drive from the beach at Paphos) and our members own over 50 sailing dinghy's mostly operated from our picturesque sailing base at Agios Georgios, just on the southern tip of the famous Akamas peninsula. Besides our organised social events, we meet every Friday lunchtime for food, drinks and maybe meet some new friends.
If you want to find out more, come down to the Paphos clubhouse any Friday lunchtime and introduce yourself to any of the committee members, further details are available by clicking the 'Become a member' button on the left.
